Job Description

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced School Canteen Manager to join one of the fastest-growing catering companies in Australia. This role offers a great work-life balance with family-friendly hours, comprehensive training, and ongoing support. Based at our school in Langwarrin South, this position provides the perfect chance to bring your expertise to a team that values your skills and encourages professional growth. Roster:

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 14:30pm

What This Role Involves:

  • Cooking lunch orders for our junior school students
  • Ordering & stock control
  • Food preparation (e.g. peeling/chopping vegetables, making sandwiches & salads)
  • Friendly customer service
  • Washing dishes, cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas
  • Maintaining food hygiene, security and safety practices

Desired Skills and Experience

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience in a canteen or cafe environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to organise work with other team members and take direction
  • Reliability and availability for various days and hours
  • Motivated and enthusiastic
  • First class food safety practices
  • Ability to comply with OH&S and food safety practices
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment during peak service periods

Please note: successful applicants will be required to undergo a working with children clearance before starting employment.
