Job Description
The Role:
Cater Care Australia is seeking to appoint a Relief Chef Manager with leadership experience for our Aged Care site in Perth, Western Australia.
In this role, you will be responsible for organising day-to-day operations. It’s the ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing an exceptional dining experience for our residents and values a well-run kitchen.
The role will also require you to travel to and work across multiple sites within the Perth Metro area.
Roster: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours may vary slightly depending on location.
What This Role Involves:
Dual responsibilities in food preparation / presentation and site management
Overall cost management with a focus on food and labour costs
Stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking
Adherence to food hygiene & safety practices
Demonstrable team management, development & leadership
Assisting the broader team as required
Preparing texture-modified foods
Liaising with our residents and clients
Desired Skills and Experience
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Experience with managing labour, food & operational costs
Previous experience in operating kitchens and/or site management
Strong communication skills
Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
Must have your own vehicle and driver's licence
Knowledge of the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) is an advantage
