The Role:
We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Barista to join our team in a permanent, full-time role!
If you’re passionate about creating exceptional coffee and being part of a dynamic, supportive team, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You’ll be part of one of Australia’s fastest-growing catering companies, working at a prestigious private school in Marion, South Australia.
This role allows you to provide high-quality catering services in our dedicated school café, within a modern, state-of-the-art facility.
Roster:
Monday: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Tuesday to Friday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and serving barista-quality coffee
Delivering friendly and efficient customer service
Serving meals to customers
Washing dishes and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
Supporting the preparation and service of functions and conferences
Maintaining strict adherence to food hygiene, security, and safety standards
Assisting with food preparation, including peeling and chopping vegetables, and making sandwiches and salads
Desired Skills and Experience
The Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Essential: Experience making barista coffee (qualifications advantageous)
Reliability and flexibility
A South Australian Working with Children Check
Previous experience as a barista in a busy café environment
Previous experience assisting in various aspects of kitchen operations and service
Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to take direction and work collaboratively
Exceptional food safety and cleanliness practices
A thorough understanding of OH&S and food safety requirements
The ability to perform efficiently during peak service periods
Must have a Driver’s Licence
