Your leadership skills will be key to the success of this partnership, and as such, we are seeking a seasoned professional for the role of Functions Manager on a permanent basis.
We’re seeking an organised Functions Manager to coordinate events across the school campus, from small gatherings to large formal functions. Working closely with the Site Manager, Head Chef, and school leadership, you’ll ensure every event runs smoothly and professionally.

What the role involves:
Oversee the management of catering services for events, from casual teas to formal dinners
Develop strong client relationships with all stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution
Plan, lead and develop the team to ensure successful events
Ensure food and service meet school standards and dietary needs
Address any issues during events to guarantee a positive experience
Maintaining budgetary controls to ensure financial objectives are met
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience leading teams and managing large-scale events
Ability to influence and engage people at all levels
Excellent communication, organisational, and customer service skills
Significant experience in the hospitality sector
Your strong organisation skills will benefit you as you recruit, train and roster staff appropriately
Ability to use computer software systems for functions
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate is required
