We’re looking for a skilled Part-Time Chef to join our aged care community at Sunnyside Retirement Village in Horsham. If you love cooking and thrive in a fast-paced, supportive kitchen, this could be the perfect role for you. Apply now and make a difference through great food!

Roster: 

Thursday and Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm

Saturday and Sunday, 9:30am – 6:00pm

What this role involves:

  • Preparing & presenting food for our residents
  • Support bulk cooking operations
  • Perform general kitchen duties, including dishwashing
  • Provide excellent customer service 
  • Prepare texture modified foods
  • Provide tray service meal delivery to residents
  • Prepare and serve meals in adherence to specified dietary requirements
  • Fast, effective service - provided with a positive attitude

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate: 

  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role 
  • Punctuality & reliability
  • Adherence to food & general safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, time management & attention to detail
