Job Description

The role:

Cater Care is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Chef for one of our key aged care facilities located in Wembley.

This modern, well-maintained 80-bed facility offers both onsite and street parking.

Roster: Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 am - 6:30 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing & presenting food for our residents
  • Maintaining a clean working environment
  • Support bulk cooking operations
  • Prepare and present texture modified foods
  • Fast, effective service - provided with a positive attitude
  • Adherence to food & general safety practices

Desired Skills and Experience

Your background:

  • Previous experience in a similar role 
  • Experience in aged care kitchens and in preparing food to IDDSI standards (highly desirable)
  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the team
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, time management & attention to detail
