About the Role
Cater Care is seeking a Full-Time Relief Chef Manager to support kitchen operations across our sites in Victoria. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated professional to lead diverse teams, deliver high-quality food, and maintain efficient kitchen operations across a variety of sectors including education, business and industry (B&I), aged care, and healthcare.
The position requires flexibility and adaptability, with travel across Victoria to provide operational support across multiple contracts.
Roster:Monday to Sunday, various shifts across 5 days (up to 40 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
Lead, develop, and support kitchen teams across multiple sites
Oversee and assist with bulk cooking operations
Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and service delivery
Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety practices
Prepare and present seasonal and texture-modified meals
Promote a positive and professional work environment
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Proven experience in a similar leadership or chef management role
Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills
Ability to work both independently and as a team leader
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (required for travel)
Working With Children Check (required for education sites)
