About The Role:

We’re seeking a passionate Full-Time Cook to join our welcoming team at one of Cater Care’s aged care sites in Byron Bay, NSW.

This is more than a cooking role - you’ll play a meaningful part in enhancing residents’ daily lives by preparing fresh, nourishing meals with care and creativity. Working alongside a supportive, close-knit team, you’ll take pride in delivering quality food, teamwork, and genuine hospitality.

Salary: Circa $76,515 - $90,000 (depending on experience) + Super

Roster: Wed - Fri, 6:00 am - 2:00 pm | Sat & Sun, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm (38 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and present fresh, delicious meals for residents and staff
  • Support daily kitchen operations and bulk meal preparation
  • Deliver friendly, efficient service with a smile
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen
  • Follow food and general safety practices
  • Prepare and present texture-modified foods with care and precision

Desired Skills and Experience

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (aged care experience preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and passion for great food
  • A current driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle
