About The Role:

Cater Care is seeking a dedicated Casual Chef/Cook to join our team at an aged care facility in Glen Waverley, Victoria.

This role extends beyond food preparation, focusing on the delivery of fresh, nutritious meals that positively contribute to residents’ wellbeing. You will work within a supportive team environment where quality, consistency, and care are highly valued.

Roster: Various days & hours (16 hrs/week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and present fresh, delicious meals for residents and staff
  • Support daily kitchen operations and bulk meal preparation
  • Deliver friendly, efficient service with a smile
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen
  • Follow food and general safety practices
  • Prepare and present texture-modified foods with care and precision

Desired Skills and Experience

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (aged care experience preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and passion for great food
  • High standards of presentation and personal hygiene
