About The Role
Cater Care is looking for a friendly and reliable Casual Catering Assistant to join our team at an aged care residence in Armadale.
You’ll play an important role in creating enjoyable mealtimes by assisting with food service and ensuring residents feel welcomed and supported.
Salary: $25.85 per hour + casual loading & penalty rates
Roster: Flexible shifts available across the week (15-20 hours per week)
What This Role Involves
- Assisting with food preparation, including salads, sandwiches, and texture-modified meals
- Customer service - serving our residents meals and snacks
- Re-stocking as required, and after meal periods
- Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas
- Setting tables, plating meals, and supporting the chef with general kitchen duties
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation and/or customer service
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet resident needs and service expectations
- Previous experience in aged care (preferred but not essential)
- Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices
