About the role:
Cater Care is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead catering operations at our aged care facility in Mount Eliza. This role is more than managing a kitchen - it’s about creating enjoyable, nutritious meals that enhance residents’ daily lives.
You will lead a passionate catering team, plan menus tailored to residents’ tastes and dietary needs, and maintain the highest food safety and quality standards.
Roster: Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm
Salary: $85,000 + super
What this role involves:
Leading and inspiring a dedicated catering team to deliver high-quality, flavoursome meals
Planning and delivering seasonal menus that meet residents’ tastes, preferences, and dietary requirements
Ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and all relevant food safety regulations
Managing budgets, ordering, and rostering while maintaining cost efficiency
Building strong, positive relationships with residents, their families, and the care team
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
A trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Proven experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef, or in a similar leadership role (aged care experience preferred)
A demonstrated track record of managing large, multifaceted catering operations
Strong organisational, communication, and time-management skills
The ability to lead with confidence, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence in every detail
