About the role:
Gather by Cater Care is looking for a motivated Chef to join our education site at St Lucia, QLD.
In this role, you’ll assist with bulk meal preparation and cooking, supporting a variety of events and formal dinners. If you take pride in delivering high-quality food with excellent presentation and enjoy being part of a dynamic team, this is a great opportunity to help create memorable dining experiences in a rewarding education environment.
Roster: 5 day week inclusive of weekends (38 hrs/week)
Responsibilities:
Preparing & presenting food for our students and staff
Support bulk cooking operations
Provide excellent customer service
Maintaining a clean working environment
Adherence to food & general safety practices
Fast, effective service - provided with a positive attitude
Desired Skills and Experience
Your background:
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Previous experience in a similar role
Bulk cooking experience preferred but not essential
Ability to work independently and as part of the team
Exceptional presentation, communication, time management & attention to detail
