Location: Walkerville, South Australia

Job Type: Permanent - Full Time

Salary: $89k + Super

Roster: Monday to Friday, 9:30am - 6:00pm

We’re seeking a passionate Chef Manager to lead our new site in Walkerville. This hands-on role is about more than great food - it’s about creating comfort and connection through every meal.

You’ll lead a close-knit team, drive quality and consistency, and build a positive kitchen culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve optimal outcomes for residents
  • Prepare and present fresh, high-quality meals for 16 to 50 short-term residents
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of special dietary meals
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations
  • Provide fast, efficient service while maintaining a positive, professional attitude

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) with several experience in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Experience in contract catering (desirable)
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong communication skills with excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Proactive, positive approach with a genuine passion for delivering quality food
