About The Role
Cater Care is excited to welcome Cold Larder / Cook team members to our new Walkerville site! We’re hiring two positions, starting in early March 2026. As the facility ramps up, hours will increase, offering a fantastic opportunity to grow with a fast-paced, modern kitchen team.
In this hands-on role, you’ll play a key part in preparing cold dishes, salads, sandwiches, and snacks, ensuring quality, efficiency, and hygiene in daily meal service. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a collaborative kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve high-quality cold dishes, salads, sandwiches, and snacks
Support kitchen operations and assist with meal service
Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and equipment
Monitor and maintain stock levels, replenishing items as required
Adhere to strict food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
Contribute to a positive, professional team environment

Proven experience in food preparation, preferably cold larder or cook roles
Ability to support kitchen operations efficiently during service periods
Strong commitment to food safety, hygiene, and Workplace Health & Safety (WHS)
Reliable, flexible, and able to work collaboratively within a team
Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
