About The Role
We are seeking a Casual Chef to join our team at the lovely Elderbloom aged care facility in Wanneroo. This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for providing high-quality, consistent meals for our residents, understanding that food plays a vital role in creating comfort and connection.
We are looking for a passionate individual to take ownership of the weekend service, contributing to a positive and collaborative kitchen culture.
Roster: Hours are flexible and vary throughout the week
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present fresh, high-quality meals for residents and staff
Manage special diets, including texture-modified (IDDSI) and allergen-aware meals
Collaborate effectively with the weekend team to maintain seamless service delivery and foster a positive kitchen environment
Maintain strict food safety (HACCP) standards and rigorous cleaning protocols
Monitor weekend inventory and ensure a seamless handover for the weekday team
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) with experience in a high-volume kitchen environment
Experience in aged care or large-scale catering (desirable)
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Strong communication skills and a passion for resident well-being
Proactive, positive approach with a genuine passion for delivering quality food
Valid Driver's License
