Location: Avive Health - Mornington Peninsula Job Type: Permanent - Full Time Salary: $76,515.00 - $90,000 Roster: Monday to Friday (40 hours/week)
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Chef Manager to oversee catering operations at our Mount Eliza site.
In this hands-on leadership role, you will support recovery and wellbeing through the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals. You will lead a small team, ensure efficient and consistent kitchen operations, and foster a positive, supportive culture, all while maintaining genuine work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop the team to consistently deliver high-quality, nutritious meals in a high-volume bulk cooking environment
Plan and implement seasonal menus tailored to patient preferences and specialised dietary requirements
Ensure full compliance with food safety standards and all relevant regulatory requirements
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including budgeting, procurement, stock control, and rostering
Build positive and professional relationships with patients, staff, and site leadership
Desired Skills and Experience
What We’re Looking For
Recognised Chef Trade Qualification (essential)
Current Food Safety Supervisor certification
Strong knowledge of specialised diets and experience in high-volume bulk catering environments
Demonstrated leadership experience with excellent communication and organisational skills
Proactive, reliable, and committed to quality, consistency, and service excellence
