Take Charge of the Kitchen - No Weekends, Term-Time Only
Position: Part-Time Salary: $75K + Super (negotiable) Schedule: Term-time only (41 weeks) Hours: Monday - Friday | 1:00pm - 8:30pm
We’re seeking a passionate Chef Manager to lead our Parkville education site. You’ll be the master of your own creations, working independently during the week and handing over to the weekend chef while ensuring quality, consistency, and a positive kitchen culture. You’ll prepare afternoon tea and dinner for 30+ students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the kitchen independently during the week, ensuring quality, consistency, and a positive kitchen culture
Plan and prepare afternoon tea and dinner for 30+ students and staff, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences
Hand over kitchen operations smoothly to the weekend chef while maintaining high standards
Develop seasonal menus that balance creativity, nutrition, and enjoyment for students and staff
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and school policies at all times
Desired Skills and Experience
What We’re Looking For
Recognised Chef Trade Qualification required
Current Food Safety Supervisor certification
Proven track record serving high-quality meals in a high-volume environment
Strong knowledge of catering in a school or educational setting, including dietary needs (desirable)
Excellent communication, organisational skills, and commitment to quality
