Sous Chef - Full-Time | No Late Nights | Work-Life Balance
Location: Eight Mile Plains, QLD Roster: Wednesday to Sunday | 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Position Overview
Cater Care is seeking a qualified and experienced Sous Chef to support kitchen operations within an aged care facility in Eight Mile Plains.
This role offers structured daytime hours with no late nights or split shifts, providing a stable and balanced alternative to traditional hospitality environments. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will assist in managing daily kitchen operations, oversee bulk meal preparation, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present fresh, nutritious meals at a consistent standard
Support and lead bulk cooking operations in a structured environment
Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen coordination
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene compliance
Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised, and service-ready
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented workplace
Desired Skills and Experience
Skills and Experience
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
Aged care or bulk catering experience (advantageous)
Strong organisational skills and ability to work to routine
Reliable, team-focused, and able to work independently
Commitment to quality, consistency, and service standards
