Cooking with Care for Our Residents

Location: Keyton - Highvale Retirement Village
Roster: Saturdays, 9:30am - 6:00pm
Job Type: Part-Time

The Role

Join Cater Care as a Weekend Chef and play a meaningful role in enhancing the lives of our residents. In this rewarding position, you’ll prepare fresh, nutritious meals in a modern kitchen while creating positive dining experiences that support wellbeing and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present fresh, high-quality meals for residents and staff
  • Assist with bulk meal preparation and daily kitchen operations
  • Deliver friendly and efficient service
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen
  • Follow food safety and workplace health standards
  • Prepare texture-modified meals with care and attention

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a similar role (aged care experience desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and passion for creating great food
