About The Role

Gather by Cater Care is seeking a passionate, reliable, and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team in St Lucia, Queensland.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a prestigious boarding school environment, preparing fresh, nutritious, and high-quality meals for students and staff. The role also includes supporting events, functions, and formal dinners, with a strong emphasis on presentation, consistency, and flavour.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in their work, and demonstrates excellent organisation, teamwork, and reliability.

Roster

• Wednesday to Sunday: 6:00am - 2:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present fresh, high-quality meals for students and staff
• Assist with high-volume and bulk meal production
• Support catering for functions, events, and formal dinners
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
• Deliver professional and friendly customer service
• Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety standards
• Contribute positively to a collaborative kitchen team
