Key Responsibilities
Prepare fresh, nutritious and well-presented meals to a consistently high standard.
Coordinate food preparation, bulk cooking and daily kitchen operations
Provide friendly, attentive service to create a positive dining experience for students
Work independently and manage kitchen priorities efficiently
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
Support a welcoming boarding environment through reliable service and quality meals
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
A recognised trade qualification in cookery
Experience in a professional kitchen, ideally in education, boarding or institutional catering
Confidence with food preparation, bulk cooking and kitchen operations
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently
A commitment to food quality, presentation, hygiene and customer service
Willingness to meet pre-employment requirements, including a Working With Children Check and National Police Check
