gather by Cater Care is seeking an accomplished Catering Manager to lead our operation at Trinity College, Parkville. This is an exciting opportunity for a polished, customer-focused hospitality leader to oversee a diverse operation spanning boarding catering, college functions and café services, delivering the highest standards across every touchpoint.
You’ll lead and develop a large team, build strong client relationships and foster a welcoming, professional dining experience for the entire college community. With a passion for service excellence, strong operational leadership and an eye for detail, you’ll ensure every meal, function and café interaction reflects the quality and reputation of this prestigious institution.
Please note, this position is scheduled to commence in January 2027.
Job Description
Your Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a large team to deliver consistently exceptional service
Set the standard for professional presentation, attention to detail and customer care
Build strong client relationships and respond proactively to stakeholder expectations
Oversee daily catering operations, ensuring seamless service and high-quality delivery
Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and hospitality excellence
Maintain food safety, hygiene and compliance standards across the operation
Desired Skills and Experience
What We’re Looking For
Experience managing premium catering, high-end hospitality or a quality-driven food service operation
A genuine passion for exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to develop teams and maintain high standards
Confidence engaging with clients and stakeholders in a professional environment
Strong organisation, problem-solving skills and computer literacy
Current RSA and Food Safety Supervisor certifications, as required, and the ability to obtain a National Police Check and Working With Children Check
