gather by Cater Care is seeking a polished, customer-focused Cafe Manager to oversee a boutique café within the prestigious Trinity College residential community in Parkville.
This is an opportunity for an experienced café or hospitality professional who takes pride in delivering excellent coffee, maintaining high presentation standards and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Working independently, you'll take ownership of the daily café service and ensure every interaction reflects the quality of the environment.
Please note, this position is scheduled to commence in January 2027.
Job Description
What You'll Be Doing
Deliver friendly, personalised service and build positive customer relationships
Prepare and serve quality barista coffee alongside a selection of food and beverages
Independently manage daily café operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety
Monitor stock and replenish café supplies to keep service running seamlessly
Create a welcoming, professional atmosphere for students, staff and visitors
Desired Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring
Experience in a quality café, premium catering or high-standard hospitality environment
Strong barista skills and a passion for delivering consistently excellent coffee
A customer-first mindset with polished communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence working independently and taking ownership of daily operations
Excellent attention to detail, organisation and presentation
Current Food Safety Supervisor certification and the ability to obtain the required Police Check and Working With Children Check
