Utilities in the Services industry are classified as an essential service worker, which means you’ll have peace of mind about job security. You work 14 days on and have 7 days off (with meals, uniforms and accommodation included), giving you a real opportunity to save and improve your work/life balance. What does a day in the life of a Utilitylook like?
Day and Night shift - must be flexible to work both
Housekeeping duties - room and ensuite cleaning, making beds
Kitchen hand duties - assist with basic food prep and significant dishwashing
Bar & retail duties - serving residents in the camp bar and shop areas
Common Area Cleaning - emptying bins, sweeping, mopping, general cleaning
Laundry Services - washing, drying & sorting of linen and other items
Mine Site Cleaning - general, ablution and mine site offices cleaning
Repetitive, physical tasks, including heavy lifting and bending
Assists the on-site broader team as required
Demonstrate a strong safety culture
Desired Skills and Experience
To get a start you’ll need:
The ability to work well independently, as well as with other team members
A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
A motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, sometimes for long periods.
Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
Requirements:
Current Australian driver's license
Unlimited Australian working rights
Covid 19 vaccination certificate
Police clearance (within 6 months)
RSA (highly desirable)
White Card (highly desirable)
Hospitality experience desirable
