Job Description

Cater Care Australia seeks to appoint Duty Manager at Savager River Mining Village in TASMANIA. This role is based on 8/6 rostersand working various shifts, DIDO from BURNIE TAS . Perfect for a Burnie Local . 

  • Assisting the Site Manager with the smooth running of site accommodation and catering services 
  • Team management and leadership
  • A commitment to, and understanding of, a strong safety culture in a remote setting   
  • Reservations – completing all check in/ check out procedures
  • Bar operations - customer service and cash handling
  • Answering and directing telephone enquiries
  • Assisting with guest and resident queries
  • Data entry
  • Account Reconciliations/ Invoices/ Banking
  • General Office duties
  • Assist the broader team as required

Desired Skills and Experience

 

Ideal candidate will have the following :

  • Accommodation reservations systems experience (VAMS, SAMS, RMS)
  • Responsible service of alcohol certificate
  • Previous hospitality/ food industry experience (highly desirable)
  • Stable & progressive management experience within a remote environment
  • A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
  • A motivated, constructive and professional ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Resourcefulness, resilience and enthusiasm
  • Adherence to food & general safety practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Physically fit and able to work long hours with repetitive tasks
  • Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
  • Ability to work in varying degrees of heat, cold, humidity & inclement weather 
  • A manual drivers’ license
