Job Description

The Role:

We are on the search for outgoing, enthusiastic, and driven leader to join us at our new venue - The Great Northern Bar at Sydney Domestic Airport.

We are looking for a seasoned Assistant Manager with a confident and vibrant demeanor to own the space and lead the team to deliver friendly and seamless service to our customers. We are offering a full time position with a variety of shifts across the week. 

As the Assistant  Manager you will take the helm of our venue leading a new small team to:

  • Deliver memorable customer experiences
  • Be our Beverage Champion, Coaching, sharing your knowledge.
  • Ensure budgets and KPI’s are being met.
  • Ensure the kitchen and FOH operations run seamlessly.
  • Stock ordering, rotation, merchandising & Stocktaking
  • Adherence to food hygiene, cleaning & safety practices
  • Supervising, Directing and Coaching the team.

Desired Skills and Experience

To nail this role you’ll need:

  • At least 3 years experience running a Bar or Restaurant
  • Be a seasoned Bartender, both capable and confident with cocktails and cellars.
  • Have experience with rostering, working to budgets and managing people 
  • Have a sound knowledge of WHS
  • Have a creative flair and ability to bring some fresh ideas to the space
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, nights, and weekends
  • Current RSA
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
