Job Description
Reporting to the Procurement General Manager Cater Care is seeking the services of a Category Manager (Retail Buyer) to join our Procurement team. The position could be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane
This role will be responsible for the management of key spend the retail categories of; soft beverages, alcohol, resell electronics, retail packaging, snacks,confectionery and tobacco. Servicing all Cater Care businesses, with the key focus on aggregation of supplier and products and retail promotions.
Responsibilities:
Cost Reductions through tender processes and supplier management
Improvement of supplier safety performance
Sourcing of new suppliers & innovative new products
Identify key risks / point of failure within the supply chain & mitigate where necessary
Desired Skills and Experience
Your Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Previous procurement experience of retail categories.
Strong verbal and email communication
Proficiency in spreadsheets and analysis
Food Service experience desirable
Capability to develop strong supplier relationships
Internal stakeholder management skill capability
Ability to work to tender deadlines
High attention to detail
