The Role:
Cater Care Australia is seeking to appoint a Chef Manager at one of our key aged care sites in Hamilton, Victoria.
This role involves organising day-to-day operations and is ideal for someone who is organised and values a well-run kitchen.
Roster: Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
What This Role Involves:
- Managing food preparation, presentation, and on-site operations
- Overseeing food and labor cost management
- Ordering, rotating, and managing stock inventory
- Ensuring adherence to food hygiene and safety standards
- Leading, developing, and managing the team
- Preparing texture-modified foods
- Kitchen operations, including bulk cooking
- Liaising with our residents and clients
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience in kitchen operations and/or site management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Significant experience in the hospitality industry
- A professional approach to personal appearance and hygiene
- Ability to work independently
- Trade Certification and Food Safety Supervisor Certification required
