Job Description
Cater Care Australia seeks to appoint Duty Manager at Savager River Mining Village in TASMANIA. This role is based on 8/6 rostersand working various shifts, DIDO from BURNIE TAS . Perfect for a Burnie Local .
Assisting the Site Manager with the smooth running of site accommodation and catering services
Team management and leadership
A commitment to, and understanding of, a strong safety culture in a remote setting
Reservations – completing all check in/ check out procedures
Bar operations - customer service and cash handling
Answering and directing telephone enquiries
Assisting with guest and resident queries
Data entry
Account Reconciliations/ Invoices/ Banking
General Office duties
Assist the broader team as required
Desired Skills and Experience
Ideal candidate will have the following :
Accommodation reservations systems experience (VAMS, SAMS, RMS)
Responsible service of alcohol certificate
Previous hospitality/ food industry experience (highly desirable)
Stable & progressive management experience within a remote environment
A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
A motivated, constructive and professional ‘can-do’ attitude
Resourcefulness, resilience and enthusiasm
Adherence to food & general safety practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Physically fit and able to work long hours with repetitive tasks
Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
Ability to work in varying degrees of heat, cold, humidity & inclement weather
A manual drivers’ license
