About the Role:
Cater Care is seeking a Casual Catering Assistant / Cold Larder for one of our key aged care residences, Masonic Care in Middle Swan. This dual-role position involves assisting Chefs with food preparation, baking, and other cooking duties, including making fresh salads and sandwiches daily. You will serve residents in the dining rooms during meal times, clean the dining areas, and assist with cleaning tasks in the main kitchen as directed by the Chefs.
Roster: 7:00am - 3:00pm across various days of week

What this role involves:
- Assisting with food preparation
- Customer service - serving our residents meals and snacks
- Support bulk cooking operations
- Prepare cold dishes: salads, sandwiches, cold appetisers
- Re-stocking as required, and after meal periods
- Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas
- Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices
- Prepare and present texture modified foods
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation and/or customer service
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery would be advantageous
- Previous experience in aged care (preferred but not essential)
