Job Description

About the Role:
Cater Care is seeking a motivated and passionate Cook to join our team at a respected aged care residence in Gloucester, NSW. 

In this rewarding role, you’ll contribute to the wellbeing of our residents by preparing nutritious and enjoyable meals in a safe, clean, and welcoming kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present high-quality meals, including texture-modified options
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and work areas
  • Follow all food hygiene, safety, and dietary guidelines
  • Deliver meals with care, efficiency, and a positive attitude
  • Work collaboratively with a close-knit team to ensure resident satisfaction

Desired Skills and Experience

About You:

  • Previous experience in kitchen operations or food preparation
  • Aged care or healthcare catering experience (highly regarded)
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong understanding of dietary and food safety requirements
  • Reliable, organised, and genuinely passionate about caring through food
