The role:

We are seeking a Casual Catering Assistant to work at one of our key education sites in Marion, just a 25-minute drive from Adelaide. 

The key to our success is our people. In this hands-on role, you will provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service to our valued students through meal preparation, cooking, and food service. You'll be responsible for preparing and serving meals at a busy private school.

Job Description

Roster: Approximately 20 hours per week

  • Up to five days over seven (during school term time)
  • Various evening shifts available from Monday to Sunday, in consultation with the successful candidate and based on business needs
  • Availability required across weekdays and weekends

What this role involves:

  • Customer service - serving our students meals and snacks
  • Serving customers in our café
  • Dishwashing, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen and dining areas
  • Assisting with food preparation (e.g., peeling/chopping vegetables, making sandwiches and salads)
  • Supporting the preparation and service of functions and conferences
  • Maintaining food hygiene, security, and safety standards

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation and/or customer service
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of OH&S and food safety practices
  • Full driver’s licence required
