We’re seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead the catering operations at our 126-bed aged care facility in Booragul NSW. This is more than just a kitchen leadership role — it’s an opportunity to enrich lives through food.
Roster & Salary:Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm, circa $90,000 plus a rostered admin day off the tools on Fridays.
Job Description
What you’ll do:
Lead and inspire a dedicated catering team to deliver high-quality, flavoursome meals
Plan and execute seasonal menus that meet residents’ tastes, preferences, and dietary needs
Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and all relevant food safety regulations
Manage budgets, ordering, and rostering while maintaining cost-efficiency
Build strong, positive relationships with residents, their families, and the care team
Desired Skills and Experience
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef, or similar leadership role
A genuine passion for food and the joy it brings to people
Strong knowledge of aged care catering requirements, including IDDSI and specialised diets
Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and commitment to compliance
Exceptional communication, leadership, and organisational skills
