We’re seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead the catering operations at our aged care facility in Hamilton, VIC. This is more than just a kitchen leadership role — it’s an opportunity to enrich lives through food. We are open to sponsoring the right applicant for this role. 

  • Roster & Salary: Monday to Friday 6.30am to 3pm, circa $85,000
  • Retention bonus of $1,500 at 3 months and a further $1,500 at 6 months.

Job Description

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and inspire a dedicated catering team to deliver high-quality, flavoursome meals
  • Plan and execute seasonal menus that meet residents’ tastes, preferences, and dietary needs
  • Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and all relevant food safety regulations
  • Manage budgets, ordering, and rostering while maintaining cost-efficiency
  • Build strong, positive relationships with residents, their families, and the care team

Desired Skills and Experience

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef, or similar leadership role in aged care
  • A genuine passion for food and the joy it brings to people
  • Strong knowledge of aged care catering requirements, including IDDSI and specialised diets
  • Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and commitment to compliance
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organisational skills
