The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Business Analyst to join our growing team in Parramatta. This is a critical role that will see you working closely with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, translating business needs into insights, delivering effective solutions. You will play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, improving processes, and ensuring the successful delivery of key projects.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate discussions with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, concise, and comprehensive reports.
  • Conduct thorough gap analysis and feasibility studies to identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements.
  • Contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes, identifying poor-performing/at-risk sites.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all business units, as well as external vendors.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and understanding.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models to support business cases, pricing strategies, and long-term forecasting, including ROI analysis and scenario planning for new initiatives.
  • Creating analysis and commercial/financial models, improving efficiency of processes.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of business analysis methodologies and best practices.

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Significant experience as a Financial or Commercial Analyst.
  • Demonstrated experience in documenting, and managing business requirements.
  • Proficiency in business process modelling tools.
  • Previous experience in developing complex financial models in support of complex business cases.
  • Understand and educate operators on revenue and cost drivers and their commercial impact on the business.
  • Business/commercial acumen: A strong understanding of what drives business value and profitability, with a comprehensive understanding of CAPEX from our operations.
  • Communication: excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders, utilising your strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving: a proactive and resourceful approach to identifying issues and developing effective solutions.
