Job Description

The role:

Cater Care is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Chef Manager to lead the daily culinary operations at our aged care residence in Eight Mile Plains, just a 25-minute drive from Brisbane. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who is passionate about delivering an exceptional dining experience while ensuring a well-organised and efficient kitchen environment. 

On-site parking is available for your convenience.

Roster: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading, developing, and managing the team on-site
  • Preparing & presenting food for our residents
  • Support bulk cooking operations
  • Provide excellent customer service 
  • Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety practices
  • Preparing and presenting texture-modified foods
  • Participating in staff hiring, with support from the Operations Manager

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Previous experience in a similar role 
  • Ability to work independently and able to supervise staff on-site
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, time management & attention to detail
