The Role:
Cater Care Australia seeks to appoint a passionate Chef Manager at one of our key aged care sites in Merewether, a beautiful beachside suburb of Newcastle, NSW.
Organising day-to-day operations; this is the ideal role for someone who wants to provide a fantastic meal experience to our residents and values a well-run kitchen without working weekends.
Roster: Monday to Friday 9am till 5.30pm
Salary: Circa $82,000 plus super
Job Description
What This Role Involves:
Dual responsibilities in food preparation / presentation and site management
Ongoing menu development & refinement with a focus on seasonal produce
Demonstrable team management, development & leadership
Preparing and presenting texture modified meals
Desired Skills and Experience
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (desired)
Bulk cooking experience
Previous experience in operating kitchens and/or site management
Strong communication skills and a pride in personal appearance & hygiene
