Job Description

The role:

Join the Cater Care team as a Casual Kitchen Hand at one of our welcoming aged care residences in Wembley!

We’re looking for a motivated team player who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll assist our Chefs with kitchen clean-downs, basic food preparation, and help maintain a clean and positive environment for our residents.

Roster: Evening shifts across various days of the week, with occasional morning shifts also available

What this role involves:

  • Assisting with food preparation
  • Customer service - serving our residents meals and snacks
  • Re-stocking as required, and after meal periods
  • Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas
  • Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices
  • Prepare and present texture modified foods

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation and/or customer service
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
  • Previous experience in aged care (preferred but not essential)
