Job Description

The role:

Cater Care is seeking to appoint a trade-qualified chef to work alongside the Chef Manager in preparing exceptional food at one of our key aged care sites in the beautiful capital city of the Darling Downs, Toowoomba - a city renowned for its vibrant food scene and coffee culture.

Roster: 

Wednesday to Friday: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Saturday and Sunday: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present delicious, nutritious meals for our residents
  • Support bulk cooking operations, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Provide exceptional customer service, making each meal experience special
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring the highest quality

Desired Skills and Experience

Your background:

  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a similar role, ideally in aged care or hospitality
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and time management skills
  • A genuine passion for cooking and serving others
