About The Role
Gather by Cater Care is seeking a Full-Time Sous Chef to support our kitchen operations at Ballarat Grammar in Wendouree, VIC.
As a Sous Chef with Cater Care, you’ll play a key role in creating fresh, nutritious meals that contribute to the health and wellbeing of our students, staff, and visitors. If you’re passionate about great food and thrive in a supportive, fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Roster: Monday to Friday | 9:30am - 6:00pm
Key Responsibilities
Food preparation and presentation of all meals served including Residential Halls, Cafes and Event Catering
Support bulk cooking operations
Support the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations
Adherence to legislated food hygiene and general safety practices
Fast effective service provided with a smile
Desired Skills and Experience
Ideal Candidate Will Have
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Experience in a similar role (education experience a bonus)
Event and function experience (highly regarded)
Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently
Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail
