Love baking and creating fresh, delicious meals? Gather by Cater Care is seeking a Part-Time Cold Larder Cook to join our team at Ballarat Grammar, Wendouree.
In this role, you’ll help create a warm, welcoming dining experience for students and staff by preparing cold larder items, desserts, and daily meals in a supportive, team-focused kitchen. If you enjoy variety, creativity, and working as part of a team, this role is perfect for you!
Roster: Monday to Friday | 6:30am - 2:30pm
Key Responsibilities
Creating delicious desserts and baked goods
Assist with daily food preparation and meal service
Assemble salads, sandwiches, and cold dishes with care and consistency
Provide warm, professional customer service
Support catering for school functions, events, and meetings
Uphold strict food safety and hygiene standards
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Experience in preparing desserts and baking, cold larder work, food preparation, and/or customer service
Experience in education or high-volume environments (highly desirable)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Reliable, adaptable, and able to stay calm during busy service periods
