About The Role

Cater Care is looking for an enthusiastic Part-Time Chef/Cold Larder to join our friendly kitchen team at a key aged care site in Wanneroo. You’ll prepare fresh, quality meals from a central kitchen supporting three sites, playing an important role in enhancing the daily lives of our residents. 

Enjoy on-site parking and easy access to public transport.

Salary: $28.12/hour + super

Roster: Mon & Tues, 10:30am-3:30 pm | Sat & Sun, 9:30am-5:30 pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and present fresh, delicious meals for residents and staff
  • Support daily kitchen operations and bulk meal preparation
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen
  • Prepare and present texture-modified foods with care and precision
  • Assemble salads, sandwiches, and cold dishes with care and consistency
  • Uphold strict food safety and hygiene standards

Desired Skills and Experience

Your Background

  • Previous experience in a similar role (aged care experience preferred but not essential)
  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and passion for great food
  • Reliable, adaptable, and able to stay composed during busy service periods
