About The Role
Are you a Chef who enjoys leadership, structure and purpose?
Cater Care Australia is seeking a Chef Manager to manage kitchen operations at an aged care residence in Glen Waverley. This role offers the opportunity to combine your culinary skills with meaningful work - creating high-quality meals while maintaining a calm, well-run kitchen environment.
Roster: Monday to Friday | 9:30 am - 6:00 pm
What This Role Involves
Lead, mentor, and motivate an on-site culinary team to deliver excellence in every service
Oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation, ensuring high-quality, nutritious meals for residents and staff
Manage and support large-scale cooking operations with efficiency and precision
Drive exceptional customer service and foster a culture of care and professionalism
Ensure compliance with all food hygiene, safety, and quality standards
Oversee the preparation and presentation of texture-modified and special dietary meals
Ongoing reviews to seasonal menu development
Desired Skills and Experience
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Previous experience in a similar role (aged care experience preferred but not essential)
Proven track record in managing large, multifaceted catering operations
Strong organisational, communication, and time-management skills
Leads with confidence, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence in every detail
