About the role:

We’re seeking reliable Catering Assistants to support catering operations at one of our education sites in Parkville, VIC. This casual role offers school-friendly hours in a professional and supportive catering environment, with a focus on quality food service and teamwork.
Roster: Casual shifts available Monday to Sunday, with flexible hours between 6am and 8pm.
What this role involves:
- Assisting with food preparation and serving meals and snacks in line with service standards
- Providing excellent customer service in a professional and friendly manner
- Re-stocking items as required during and after meal periods
- Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen and dining areas
- Setting tables, plating meals, and supporting the Chef with general kitchen duties
- Following all food safety and hygiene standards at all times
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in food preparation and/or customer service
- Previous contract catering experience (desirable)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Flexibility, with the ability to adapt to busy and changing environments
- Strong customer service focus
