About the role:
Cater Care is seeking a Casual Catering Assistant to join our team at a modern 124-bed aged care facility in Middle Swan, WA. In this role, you’ll assist with meal service and help create a warm and welcoming dining experience for residents. Enjoy working in a supportive team environment with onsite parking and easy access to public transport.
Pay: $25.85 base per hour + casual loading and penalties
Roster: Various days & hours (15-20 hrs/week)
What this role involves:
- Assisting with food preparation, including salads, sandwiches, and texture-modified meals
- Customer service - serving our residents meals and snacks
- Re-stocking as required, and after meal periods
- Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas
- Setting tables, plating meals, and supporting the chef with general kitchen duties
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in food preparation and/or customer service
- Previous contract catering experience (desirable)
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet resident needs and service expectations
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Flexibility, with the ability to adapt to busy and changing environments
