Are you an experienced Chef or Head Chef looking for the next stage in your career? Perhaps even a current Chef Manager feeling undervalued and stymied by a lack of opportunity for growth? 

Cater Care is seeking expressions of interest from people like you to create a relief pool of future Chef Managers, fully supported with ongoing training, as you gain experience ready to step in when the need arises, gaining experience across multiple sites.

These are full time roles, covering sites from the Illawarra, through to the Hunter region, of course travel support is available, as well as a generous car allowance. 

This project is part of an ongoing plan to support the development of future Operations Managers (most of which were originally chefs and chef managers) when opportunities become available.

This is a clear pathway to your future employment goals.

Job Description

What The Role Involves:

  • Dual responsibilities in food preparation / presentation and site management
  • Stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking 
  • Adherence to food hygiene & safety practices
  • Demonstrable ability to develop into management with a passion for leadership

Desired Skills and Experience

What You Will Have:

  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Experience with managing labour, food & operational costs 
  • Strong communication skills (prior experience in Aged Care would be well regarded)
  • Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
