About The Role
As a Catering Assistant, you will support the delivery of catering services to the boarding house, assisting with food preparation and service to ensure high-quality dining experiences. Your hands-on approach will contribute to the efficient operation of a busy kitchen and dining environment.
Roster
Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Five days per week during school term time
Key Responsibilities
Provide friendly, efficient customer service to boarding students and staff
Prepare dining areas for service and serve meals in a timely manner
Assist with food preparation, including peeling and chopping vegetables, and preparing sandwiches and salads
Serve customers in the café while maintaining high service standards
Wash dishes and ensure cleanliness across kitchen, service, and dining areas
Follow all food hygiene, safety, and security procedures at all times
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Attributes And Requirements
Previous experience in a busy kitchen, café, or food service environment
Ability to assist with all aspects of kitchen operations and food service
Reliable, flexible, and available to work rostered hours
Knowledge of OH&S and food safety standards
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak periods
Valid driver’s license (essential)
