Cater Care Australia is looking for an experienced Chef Manager to lead the kitchen at one of our sites in Mount Eliza, VIC.

You’ll be responsible for delivering nutritious, high-quality meals that genuinely enhance the quality of life for our customers and staff, while leading and mentoring a supportive kitchen team. Working within Cater Care’s structured, multi-site environment, you’ll enjoy the stability, systems, and support needed to succeed.
Salary: $85K + $5K Regional Bonus + Super
Roster: Monday to Friday (40 hrs/week)
What This Role Involves:
Leading, mentoring, and inspiring an on-site culinary team to consistently deliver high-quality meals and exceptional service
Overseeing all food preparation and presentation to ensure nutritious, appealing meals for customers and staff
Managing bulk cooking operations efficiently and with precision
Championing outstanding customer service and fostering a supportive, professional kitchen culture
Ensuring strict compliance with all food hygiene, safety, and quality standards
Overseeing special dietary meals to meet customer needs
Driving ongoing menu reviews and contributing to seasonal menu development
Desired Skills and Experience
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Experience in a similar leadership role
Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex catering operations
Strong organisational, communication, and time-management skills
Confident, professional leadership with a commitment to excellence
Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle for travel
