Location: Wembley, WA Job Type: Casual Roster: About 20 hrs/week, flexible days, Mon-Sun Pay: $25.85/hour + casual loading and penalty rates
About the role:
We’re looking for a Catering Assistant at our aged care facility in Wembley, WA. You’ll help create a welcoming mealtime experience for residents by assisting with food preparation, serving meals, and supporting the kitchen team. This is a hands-on role where your contribution makes a real difference every day.
What this role involves:
Assisting with food preparation, including salads, sandwiches, and texture-modified meals
Providing excellent customer service by serving residents’ meals and snacks
Re-stocking supplies as needed, including after meal periods
Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen and dining areas
Setting tables, plating meals, and supporting the chef with general kitchen duties
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
Have previous experience in food preparation and/or customer service
Work effectively as part of a team to meet resident needs and service expectations
Demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills
Be flexible and able to adapt to busy and changing environments
Be willing to undergo a Police Check and undertake a flu vaccination
