About The Role
As a Catering Assistant, you will support the delivery of catering services to the boarding house, assisting with food preparation and service to ensure high-quality dining experiences. Your hands-on approach will contribute to the efficient operation of a busy kitchen and dining environment.
Roster
Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Five days per week during school term time
Key Responsibilities
Prepare dining areas for service and serve meals to boarding students
Provide friendly, efficient customer service in the café
Assist with basic food preparation, including sandwiches, salads, and vegetable prep
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, service, and dining areas, including dishwashing
Follow all food hygiene, security, and safety procedures
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Attributes And Requirements
Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions
Reliable and flexible to meet rostered hours
Able to work efficiently during peak service periods
Knowledge of and compliance with OH&S and food safety standards
Valid Driver’s License required
